Amazing beaches, great history and a replica of a portuguese caravela makes this city a must visit.

Guimarães – Exploring the World

 

Guimarães is the birthplace of Portugal and it’s a city in northern Portugal, close to Porto.
Medieval yet renovated, it offers some interesting and unique spots that you can’t really find anywhere else.

 

Time to say goodbye Luxembourg

Vacations are over ,yet I want to return someday and explore Luxembourg and the surrounding cities a bit more. 

Luxembourg au Noel

No words to describe how pretty this easy, how happy everyone is , and the strange fact that lots off food offered here is portuguese. Weird seing leitão right next to gluhwein ! 

Luxembourg first Contact

Turns out here in Luxembourg it is christmas. The streets are filled with christmas markets , and there is food everywhere and I am happy for that. 

Here is the down near the river área of the city. 

Interesting place, loads of portuguese used to live here. Found three associations of Portuguese clubs .

Also during the first day I literally just spoke portuguese which was funny since I came here expecting to practice French and Germán. 

Arrived after..

-one hour delay

-half hour wait outside in the cold and rain

-crossing the runway, running to the plane and arriving to the said plane all wet.

-the hotel is nice and they speak portuguese, not everything is bad people. Also very pretty airport. 

Luxembourg is my next stop

So Porto decided to go full Porto today (rain rain rain rain rain) and I decided it was time to go away. 

Ryanair recently opened a route between Porto and Luxembourg and such atractive prices combined with the good schedule gave me the opportunity to visit this small country. 

Hope all goes well and I eat loads of good stuff and have a nice time taking photos.

This will be my second trip alone after the success of Bucharest in Romania.
