Long time since I stepped foot in Francisco Sá Carneiro,so long that I had already forget the new toll gates for anyone that takes too long to say goodbye.Due to that a quick bye to my dad.Natalia that usually goes with me in these adventures is as hungry as me.The last trips have been always international ,central Europe,Barcelona,northern Germany.

Traveling by plane can be quite relaxing but stressful at the same time.Controls,long waiting time,and when you land you must go through the same procedure in reverse.A trip of two hours can take in fact 5.Yet those few hours allow us to reach far away,something that by car or train would be almost impossible.

Fazia bastante tempo que não punha os pés no Francisco Sá Carneiro,tanto que já me tinha esquecido da novidade dos porticos de portagem logo para quem se despedir demasiado tempo. Assim num adeus rápido despedi-me do meu pai.A Natália que sempre me costuma acompanhar nestas aventuras vai tão esfomeada quanto eu. As últimas viagens têm sido todas internacionais, centro da europa, Barcelona, norte da Alemanha.

Andar de avião consegue ser relaxante e stressante ao mesmo tempo. Não é como um comboio em que basta aparecer na estação e entrar. Há controlos,há filas,há esperas , e depois na saída temos o mesmo procedimento ao contrário.Uma viagem de duas horas na realidade demora 5. No entanto em poucas horas permite chegar longe,algo que de carro ou comboio seria meramente impossivel.

O poder da beleza natural desta lagoa atrai qualquer um a São Miguel. De facto não há fotos que façam juízo ao quão bela esta paisagem é, ao quão natural e fresco esta zona é. Vale a pena perder aqui umas horas a passear e a fazer caminhadas. Fácil acesso de carro.

Gruta do Carvão Cave

In São Miguel , there is a vulcanic cave with 1200 meters, that you can explore for 20 minutes or take a 3h tour. The green is due to plant growth with artificial light. Part of this cave collapsed during the highway construction, because the builders didn’t want to build a viaduct.

Em São Miguel há uma caverna vulcânica com 1200 metros,que pode explorar durante 20 minutos ou fazer uma tour de 3h. O verde é devido a crescimento de plantas com a luz artificial. Parte desta caverna colapsou durante a construção da autoestrada,a construtora recusou usar um viaduto.

Tea, the only place in europe where there is industrial tea production is in São Miguel, Azores. The fields follow the sea,producing a tasteful tea that you can try for free at Gorreana or Porto Formoso plantations.

Chá,o único local na europa onde há produção industrial de chá é em São Miguel, Açores. Os campos seguem o mar,produzindo um chá de sabor intenso que podem provar gratuitamente nas plantações da Gorreana ou do Porto Formoso.

The ocean is Azores’ farms,railway,mail,ally and territory. No doubt memories from the sea are all over the place,specially in this nice pub in the center of Ponta Delgada in São Miguel.
