Landing on Naples

Not on vacations , just a quick stop before actually going on vacations but Naples was always a city I wanted to visit , and I am sure I will be back since I have no time to visit Pompeii.

Unfortunately the trip started with the most turbulent landing I had up until today. Talking from someone which lands regularly in Funchal, best known as one of the worst airports to land in the world, this landing does mean something.

Long story short we failed to land. Twice. With the plane just randomly walking sideways shaking with the storm, in ways that quite frankly were more suited to a rollercoaster .

And now Naples . I am having a mixed feeling , it has too much chaos but the underlying spirit is a good one.

Galleria Umberto I

Went to the gallery and walked until the cathedral, an easy 2 h walk. The streets are packed with people, little stores , random street vendors, and no one seems to care about facades or general building upkeep.

The food was mostly pizza slices and ice cream with a cappuccino as a side dish. When I find some cool restaurants I will share here.

Unfortunately in this trip I am alone, but next week we will be going to Munich ! If you know some cool restaurants in Munich or in Naples please do share with me, much appreciated.

Arrived after..

-one hour delay

-half hour wait outside in the cold and rain

-crossing the runway, running to the plane and arriving to the said plane all wet.

-the hotel is nice and they speak portuguese, not everything is bad people. Also very pretty airport.

Luxembourg is my next stop

So Porto decided to go full Porto today (rain rain rain rain rain) and I decided it was time to go away.

Ryanair recently opened a route between Porto and Luxembourg and such atractive prices combined with the good schedule gave me the opportunity to visit this small country.

Hope all goes well and I eat loads of good stuff and have a nice time taking photos.

This will be my second trip alone after the success of Bucharest in Romania.
